When and where is the Wishlist Fun Run?

Sunday 17th October 2021.  We promise you will never lose sight of the water on our course around Lake Kawana, 31 Sportsman Pde Bokarina (across from Sunshine Coast Stadium).
Please arrive at 7:00am to register and warm up. First race kicks off at 7:30am.

What do I do?

Firstly, click here to register. Set up your fundraising page and share your page with your friends and family.

Do I have to run?

No you don’t have to run. You can also walk, skip and jump!

Who can participate?

Everyone, we have 2.5km, 5km and 10km courses to suit all ages and abilities. Our courses are wheelchair-friendly.

Are pets allowed?

Sorry, pets are not permitted at this event.


Can I create/join a team?

Yes, just click here to join as an individual, or team.

Are there refunds if I can no longer make it?

Sorry, we don’t offer refunds at this charity event, but if the event is cancelled by Wishlist, you will receive a full refund or option to transfer your entry to the 2022 Wishlist Fun Run.

Can I register on the day?

Yes, but we encourage you to register now to avoid any disappointment on the day if we reach capacity. Registration on the day begins at 7:00am.

Where do the funds go that I raise?

This year all funds raised will be directed to our latest project Wishlist Centre. This four-level, purpose-built facility will assist in meeting the demand of a growing Sunshine Coast region, offering accommodation and support for patients and their families receiving ongoing treatment or transitioning to and from hospital.

Wishlist Centre (Stage One) is expected to open in mid-2022 and will offer services to provide a circle-of-care for patients and their families.

How do I fundraise?

After you register, go to the Get Support section of your profile where you will find a unique link to share your fundraising profile with your supporters who can make donations online. We encourage you to share your fundraising link on social media to garner more donations. If you have received offline donations (cash) you can input your donations manually on the My Donations page.

How can supporters donate?

Supporters can visit your fundraising page and make a tax-deductible donation. Donations can be made offline (cash) and then inputted manually to contribute to your fundraising goal.

Are donations tax deductable?

Yes. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.

If I can’t make it on the day can I have a refund?

No. As per our Terms & Conditions, we can’t offer a refund if you fail to show up on the day of the event.

Can I make a donation even if I don’t know anyone participating?

Yes, you can donate directly to Wishlist here.

On the Day

What do I wear?

We encourage you to have fun and dress up. However, if you don’t want to dress up, wear anything suitable for running. Don’t forget your hat and sunscreen.

Can I bring my pet?

Sorry, no pets allowed.

Can my kids ride a scooter or bike etc?

No, sorry. Bikes, scooters, rollerskates, rollerblades and skateboards are not permitted.

Can I bring a pram/stroller?

Yes. prams and strollers are permitted.

Where do I pick up my bib?

You will receive an email prior to October 14 to pick up your entry pack with everything you need.

What happens if it rains?

You will receive an email or text prior to the event if we have to postpone due to weather.


I registered for last year’s cancelled event, Is my registration still valid?

If your ticket was postponed in 2020 due to COVID restrictions, a member of the Wishlist team will be in touch to organise your place in the 2021 Wishlist Fun Run.

What if the event is cancelled due to Covid19?

Your ticket will be valid for the 2022 Wishlist Fun Run, but if you prefer a refund please phone us on 07 5202 1777.
